Compensation Plan Stack Up?

In earlier articles we've been talking about the attributes of the "Ideal MLM Company" for Online promotion of your MLM business, in terms of the ease with which a prospect can be recruited online with no personal interaction with you or the company except via the website.

Now let's look at another factor that comes into play big time. What are the chances of you making any money?

How does your company's Compensation Plan work? Does it require you to sponsor wide or can you make money by just going deep on two legs?

If it's not a binary plan or a maximum of 3 on the front line you'll struggle with retention. The average associate sponsors 2.7 people…this is the long term industry average. Most of your business associates will be average people who aren't totally fired up to pursue the business and hate rejection (as every sane person should); but they love and use the product and would like to make a bit of extra money.

If your comp plan requires them to go wide and sponsor a lot of people on the front line to be profitable, they wont be able to do it, they won't make any money and they will just fall away…industry averages tell us this. The facts simply are that 99% or more of the people you sponsor will not themselves be sponsoring machines. It's the high energy salesman types who love to sponsor wide-and they're few and far between.

And not everyone is going to want to recruit online either. In fact in my experience most people still prefer what is called the warm market: carrying the message to family, friends and people we meet.

So the simple truth is that the ideal MLM Company will have a comp plan that calls for a maximum of 3 on the front line; if you want retention.

A case in point is that the binary plan of one of the major health and wellness companies is year after year voted the best in the industry.

If your company does not have these characteristics and you have been struggling for some time then perhaps it's time for you to re-evaluate your situation?

But if your company has none of the characteristics I have listed and you are still doing amazing things then absolutely ignore everything I have said and get on with it.

If it ain't broke-don't fix it!

As well as your MLM efforts you'll need a Funded Proposal. You'll want to be making some sideline money to fund your marketing.
